One person is dead following a single-car crash on U.S. Route 7 Sunday morning, authorities said. Police said the crash occurred around 7:00 a.m. near the intersection of Route 7 and Peaks Pine Road. The driver of the car, Shelby Coon, 27, of Bennington, was driving north on US Route 7 when the car went off the southbound shoulder and hit a tree.
