Police said Derby man has been arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and having hundreds of bags of suspected heroin inside his car. Vermont State Police said they found Patrick Parris, 31, unresponsive at a rest area off of I-91 in Westminster at approximately 11 a.m. Thursday.

A fugitive on the run for almost a year has been captured in Richford. Police say they received a tip Monday that Duane Delisle was hiding out at a residence on Thomas Street. After searching the residence for approximately 45 minutes, police located him hiding inside a piece of furniture.

One woman has died after a crash in Cambridge. State Police said the crash happened about 8:45 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Vermont Route 104 and Vermont Route 15.
Police say the intersection of Route 104 and Vermont Route 15 in Cambridge is closed following a crash. Troopers, along with Cambridge fire and rescue, are responding to the scene. There's currently no estimate on when the road will reopen and motorists are being encouraged to seek alternate routes.
