An 88-year-old woman was hit by a stray bullet outside her home, Vermont State Police reported. Police were called to 240 Spring Road in Tunbridge around 8:30 p.m. Saturday regarding an apparent shooting victim.

A 2012 Toyota Highlander driven by Sarah Loos, 26, of Bondville, drifted into an oncoming lane on Vermont Route 30 and struck a 1999 Subaru Outback driven by Robert Lind, 32, of Brattleboro, Vermont State Police said. Police responded to the scene Friday around 4:30 p.m.

Two Charlestown, New Hampshire women were arrested Wednesday afternoon after troopers said they found heroin in their car. Troopers said they pulled over a car on I-91 in Rockingham for speeding. When troopers searched the car, they found one bag of heroin on Miranda Goodell, 31, and 142 bags in a tissue box belonging to Kerri Yaqoob, 28, police said.

Burlington Police say a structure fire has blocked traffic on North Winooski Ave. They say the street was closed as of about 9:25 a.m. from North Street to Pearl Street.

South Burlington police arrested two people on methamphetamine charges last week. Police said they pulled over a car, and saw signs of drugs. During the search, police said they found a backpack with more than 14 grams of meth inside, with more in the console of the car.
